In early July 1947, Paul crash landed on a farm in
Roswell New Mexico. Shortly after he landed,
a boatload of US Army personnel showed up and
rushed him off to a hangar Nevada. He was surprised
that they took him that far because there was a
Holiday Inn just down the road. Legend has it that
he was aiming for Niota Tennessee but hit New Mexico
instead.
Paul introduced the world to the concept of a huge guitar.
