A Christmas Dream 2012

2012’s “A Christmas Dream” is quiet a departure from the established framework of Grace Asylum’s Christmas shows in that it is a poem.  The poem follows a child’s dream as she fades off to sleep in a quiet country farmhouse in front of the evening fire.  As she is falling to sleep, she is watching the snowflakes perform their winter dance as they fall from the inky night sky.  She wonders what the snowflakes see and have seen as they fall from their lofty perch.  The poem revisits scenes from the previous shows and ends at the Nativity as her dream projects her into one of the snowflakes.  The story is about the Asylum found in God’s all consuming Grace.
